Update from Morten's Mortemia project:
I'm proud and honoured to welcome Fabienne Erni (Eluveitie, ILLUMISHADE) as my special guest for ‘The Covid Aftermath Sessions’. This song is entitled 'Antidote'. Fabienne's amazing vocal performances really makes this song shine so beautifully. It's a very melodic and modern sounding song, very dynamic with a quite uptempo beat. I feel truly privileged and thankful to have Fabienne on board this project, and I am really looking forward to sharing this song with you all. The song will be available on all digital platforms on the 9th of June 2023.

I must admit i had a strange, mixed feeling when I listened to the album for the first time… i missed those symphonic parts and choirs… even for the second time. But when I got more into each song I found songs like Oceans Away, Delirium and A thousand scars pretty amazing…
I need to listen to it again to dial in my favorite. After the first listen, it’s Dopamine and Delirium. I was never a choir fan, so that’s a plus. On several songs, I heard some awesome gothic sounds. Overall, I think it’s a good album, but it’s not my favorite Sirenia album.
Finally got to listen to this album this morning during breakfast, and can I say, I think it's your best album in years. Definitely the best featuring Emmanuelle anyway. I really like it and am totally crushed there is no vinyl edition (maybe you just need to print 10 copies for us vinyl lovers 😜😂🤟👊). But I am curious and maybe I have missed it somewhere, but what does 1977 signify?
I looked for the right moment to enjoy the long-awaited job! I can say that musically it is a balanced, outstanding and very pleasant album. I always appreciate the albums as a whole, I don't rule out or criticize songs, I simply give greater value to the songs that Sirenia manage to reach me deeper. There are three: «Nomadic», «A Thousand Scars» and «Oceans Away». I love the cover of Tanita Tikaram that gives a special touch to the closing of the album!

Great album! I miss choirs a bit, but the songs are catchy and will go well at concerts. My favorite song so far is Oceans Away. The melancholy of the melody and the lyrics correspond well with each other. Congratulations on releasing the album!

After the first few rounds, I would say "A Thousand Scars" .😊 But I also would say, this is one of the best Sirenia albums ever and for sure, there have been many great ones so far!!🤘 My XL review is coming soon!🤘But for now, congrats on an outstanding and breathtaking new album!!🤘
I love the whole album, I'm addicted to every song, they are so special... They are well balanced in a way I don't need to skip to a favorite song because they are equally wonderful, that's impressive! But the operatic parts on "A Thousand Scars" are really nostalgic its the highlight along with the part where Morten sings on "Fading to the Deepest Black".✨
Pretty much everything but Dopamine and Nomadic stand out. Came up as a Tidal recommendation, excellent, tight production.
